Zoocasa Shiny Feature : Research Schools!

We would be lying if we said we weren't proud of our site. Honestly we think Zoocasa.com is pretty close to the bee's knees and while we love all our features we think a cool one that you may want to know a tiny bit more info on would be our super amazing School research pages.

So since you have now met Vanessa, our very own Head Mistress, lets hear in her own words why our School stuff is cool and important!

Meet some more ZooKeepers - Vanessa and Jodie

If our ongoing quest for you all to get to know us a little better here is another installment of the soon to be award winning feature "Meet the Zookeepers" where I asked the nice folks at Zoocasa to share a fun fact about themselves.



My name is Jodie and my title (as given to me by Saul) is the Connoisseur of Customer Care. I am the one that agents and homebuyers turn to with all their questions and concerns about Zoocasa. [editors note - Notice we only need one person! Must mean there are not too many concerns....ok that is just a little customer service humour]

Fun Fact: Back in the day, I swam on the National team for Synchronized Swimming and have been lobbying quietly for a Zoocasa Synchro team.




My name is Vanessa and my "saul" given title is Head Mistress here at Zoocasa. This title fits pretty well for me because with the aid of my horn-rimmed eyewear, I gather stats, maps and reports from all sorts of diverse sources and take all my polished findings and add them to the Zocoasa school research feature among other places on Zoocasa.com

Fun Fact: I have slept in General Robert E. Lee's Battle of Gettysburg Headquarters and can swear the experience was fun but nothing like those Night at the Museum movies with Ben Stiller.

Home Run! Zoocasa and Toronto's Tech Community Enjoy a Day at the Ball Park

Toronto is very lucky to have a vibrant and socially active tech community. Last Saturday Zoocasa sponsored and I joined 22 other techies and baseball fans for a unique Tweetup called #geeksatthegame.

A great time was had by all and I want to thank everyone for coming out that day.

Answers to your questions - Q&A with Jodie

We are starting something new today on the Zoocasa Blog. We've noticed that we get quite a few of the same questions emailed into us each day so we decided to pick one every week or so and have Jodie (who answers all your emails personally!) give video answers.

This week Jodie answers one of our most asked questions from Real Estate Agents - "How do I get my listings on your site?"

Zoocasa asks "Are we going to try to love each other?"

Love and Relationships are a funny thing. When two people enter a relationship there is usually some feeling each other out (I said out!) so they can determine if they are right for each other and if there is a future for them to grow old together.

Sometimes people go into relationships knowing it is going to be a short term thing but even then, they do so with a full understanding of what their goals are and what they hope will come from the situation.

I think a lot about relationships and how people want to, and deserve, to be treated. I think how you (or your company) treat people says everything about you and what kind of person you are. Personally, I go out if my way to make sure people are happy and looked after because my goal for any relationship, short or long, is to make sure everyone leaves with a positive experience.

This isn't only my belief but also what we are building Zoocasa around.

Ya see, Zoocasa is at the most fun stage that any company can be in...at the beginning. We can take the product in any number if directions and we have more amazing ideas than we could ever find the hours in the day to create. So to figure out what we should do first we asked you.

Ok maybe not you specifically but people like you. We invited 5 very different folks from Toronto to come in to the  ZooHQ and play with our site. They told us what they liked and didn't like and most importantly what they think we need in the future.

We got lucky because our group were amazing and more helpful than I could ever put into words here.

We are building our relationships with our users and and know we are in the pre-love stage. Probably the best way to describe where we are in the dating life cycle is that we have met for lunch a few times, once at a vegetarian place that you chose, but we haven't gone to a movie or held hands or kissed ect. We are talking on the phone more and keeping each other entertained by texting back and forth while the Bachlorette is on the television and we pretty much enjoy each others company a great deal. Our relationship is growing and we know that by being honest and respectful in our first dates and most importantly listening to you all, the people who care about us will help as we are building a community and a superior product.

I love to be in love and hope love comes soon because with love comes fireworks and with fireworks comes amazement.
